A. As soon as you know the date and location of your wedding, which is at least one year.

A. No, there should only be a start time.

A. Make sure that "Adult Reception" is printed on the reception card.

A. The replies should be mailed to the person who is going to make the seating arrangements.

A. The return address for invitations should be the address of whoever sent the invitation.
Q. Should I pre-stamp the reply cards?
A. Yes, the reply cards should have a stamp and the address of who is making the seating arrangements so you will receive the response back.
Q. Should we send invitations to our parents and members of our wedding party?
A. It would make a nice keepsake for them and they would not have to reply.
Q. How can we let our quests know we do not want gifts just money for the honeymoon?
A. It's simple-it's improper to ask for ANY gift when sending wedding invitations.
Q. How much will the postage cost to mail out my invitations?
A. You will need to take your completed invitation ensemble to your local post office for the exact postage. You invitations may require additional postage if over sized or overweight.
Q. Do I need a separate reception card?
A. It is traditional to have a separate reception card but not necessary. The reception card gives your guests the place and time of your wedding reception/celebration. The reception card can be omitted if it is indicated at the bottom of the wedding invitation.
Q. My father has passed away. Should we include his name on the invitation?
A. Usually the deceased parent is not included by name on the invitation but do whatever feels right to you. They can be mentioned in the wedding program, have a special poem read at the ceremony, favorite song or light a candle. Any or all of these would be acceptable.
Q. How early should we send out our invitations so our out of town guests get the lowest possible airfares?
A. You should still send your invitations our at least 6-8 weeks before your wedding. If you have a lot of out of town guests send save the dates with accommodation and travel information.
